I have lived in Hong Kong for almost 20 years. I have seen the quality of life going down dramatically for the Hong Kong people. It is my view that this is primarily due to the business of Hong Kong keeping the local workers at less than a living income for individual’s or a family; all for a profit gain. The government sides with the business community and the local people see a desperate future and are speaking out both in word and deed. The business community through the political process is given equal or even greater than equal rights over the peoples own desires by the current voting process. Many people want a change of the political process for this reason.
